Ohio Temps Test Questions

There is no way to tell exactly what questions you will get on your Ohio temps test. The permit test questions cover such areas as the state driving rules, traffic regulations and road signs and they are based on the materials provided in the Ohio temporary license handbook. Sample test questions from the manual show that there is no area of the book you should concentrate on, you need to study the whole thing if you want to pass the exam.

Quite a few teenagers who are applying for their Ohio temporary instruction permit make the mistake of not treating the Ohio permit test with due seriousness. This is the main reason why more than a half of the first time applicants fail the exam the first time they take it. They take a few practice tests on the web, read comments from other teens that the test is very easy and don't take any additional steps to prepare for the exam. Unfortunately, the temps test is easy only for those who study for it and you definitely need more than a few sample questions in order to be able to pass it.

The temporary permit test in Ohio contains two parts - one for traffic regulations and the other one for road signs. Each part of the test has 20 questions and you need to answer at least 15 questions correctly out of each section. The passing score for the temps test in Ohio is 75%.

Studying for the Ohio Temporary Permit Test

Just like in any other state, when it comes to getting ready for the temps test, the Ohio temporary permit handbook should be your primary source of information. The book is published by the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles and the questions on the real temps test are based on the materials contained in the manual. The handbook also includes a short practice quiz for you to take before you try to wrestle the real thing.

License applicants who want to get their hands onto some advanced study materials should sign up for one of the state approved Ohio drivers education classes. Taking a driver's ed class has a number of advantages other than preparing you for the BMV permit exam. Drivers who complete a drivers ed class are usually eligible for an insurance discount which can help you offset the costs of the class. Those who choose to apply for the Ohio drivers license before they turn 18 must complete a drivers education class as required by the graduated license law.

Finally, there are also Ohio practice permit tests. Practice temps tests are mostly offered by commercial driving schools, but you may also find a few free sources. Please remember that the Ohio permit practice test should only be used as a study aid, not a sole source of information. We also offer an Ohio driving practice test and an Ohio BMV practice test, they are absolutely free, make sure to check them out!

so how long does it usually take to study the manual drivers handbook.

Hi buddy! I think I just answered this question on another page, but here we go again :) No, you will not pass your Ohio permit test if you give less than 15 correct answers on either one of the test sections. The BMV wants to make sure you know the right AND the rules, they do not favor one over another and want you to do equally well on both sections. Good luck!

can you get all the road signs right and 10 of the motor vehicle and pass with a 75 because that be 30 questions right out of 40 questions on the real Ohio permit test.
