Okay, one the form, it says we have to print the letters like they are shown as on the example.. Does that mean it has to be like each letter to every box, type it in that font, or something?

Easy, just google for DL-92 and the first link you will see will lead to the PDF file with the form. It is also available from the DPS site.

This is not exactly true. DL-92 form can be downloaded from the DPS website and it needs to be sent to the DPS headquarters in Austin along with a $20 check/money order before you start any of the online courses. Within couple of weeks, you get a parent taught package from the state, at this point you can sign up and start taking courses online. Although curbbusters are cheap, I would probably choose a different program, they are better structured and more fun.

hey, u have to go to dps nearest u, if u live in texas. then the infop they give u, u mail 20 bucks to the austin dps which is the main office. from there, u get a packet with d92 and all the other paper work. all from that packet, u have to choose the driver's ed program u wish u take. i chose curb buster for $53 , the cheapest one. they dont help.. but it is mandatory unless ur 25 years or above. just sutdy the driver's handbook which u can get for free from the nearest dps by u. just go over it, dont be nervous......ull pass and there is 3 turns anyways. good luck!

how do i download DL92

Nope, you don't need all those things if you are 18. Those who are 18 just take a 6-hour adult drivers ed course, you don't need this parent taught stuff. Call the curbbuster to make sure you're taking the right program, if you are not, get your money back, then sign up for the right course.

hi, i am 18 and live in tx and i am doing the curb buster drivers education course. can someone please explain if i need a"log" to record drivers PERMIT study hours and what exactly is a parent affadavit and do i need it if im already 18?

Wait till you are 18, then go ahead and take a 6 hour drivers education course for adults. Once you have the certificate for the course, you go to the DPS, take a vision exam and receive your learners permit (no written test is required). From that point on, you have two options -you can either schedule a driving test right away (provided you are sure you can pass it) or wait and practice driving for some time, then schedule the test and get your license.

i will turn 18 in 20 days. i dont have a permit and i am not taking drivers Ed. i would like to take the fastest and most efficient route to get my drivers liccense. what should i do?

You must still take a drivers education course, DL-92 is just an application form and does not grant you the right to test for a drivers license.

When you get the DL-92 form and complete it do you still have to take drivers education? Or are you eligable to get your drivers license after you complete it ?

Will take into consideration, thanks for feedback

need to make this information more user friendly. hard to find where to get the information i needed.
