Arizona Drivers Ed
Drivers education classes are in important part of the Arizona graduated drivers license system. If you plan on obtaining a graduated learners permit in Arizona, drivers ed is the right choice for you.
Who Needs Drivers Ed
If you are a teenager itching for your Arizona drivers license, drivers education classes may be your thing. According to the GDL requirements, all license and permit applicants who are under 18 years of age must either take a state-approved driver education class or complete at least 30 hours of supervised driving, 10 of which must be done at night time.
If you are over 18 years of age, you do not have to complete a drivers education class, however we advise you to do so anyway as it is a great way to learn the rules and get some insights on safe driving.
Drivers Ed Lesson Plans
You may be curious as to what is taught in the Arizona drivers education lessons. Well, just like in many other states, the drivers education class contains tons of information on road signs, traffic rules, drug and alcohol awareness, driving safety and many other things. Although you may think that this information appears in the Arizona drivers manual (which is a great source of info, by the way), you will never get as much from the manual as you do from the drivers education class. In addition to that, drivers ed classes usually offer free practice tests that can help you study for your learners permit exam.
Drivers Ed Locations
Driver education classes are usually provided by the professional driving schools. You may contact schools in your area to see if they can help you with the class. You may also check out the online driver ed programs, however you got to make sure that they are state-certified before you purchase anything. You can check certification of any course with the MVD.
