Oregon Permit Practice Test

If you are getting ready to apply for a drivers license or learners permit in the state of Oregon, you will have to take the mandatory permit test and the 2013 Oregon permit practice test will be one of the most valuable study aids in the process. This free Oregon practice permit test allows you to assess your current level of preparation and helps you pinpoint the driving rules you may have trouble with. Pass your 2013 Oregon permit test with our free sample practice test questions today!

Why Should I Take The Oregon Practice Permit Test?

The first reason why someone would take the Oregon practice permit test is because the permit practice test helps you familiarize yourself with the terminology used on the real DMV test. The DMV only wants those who know the traffic rules inside out to be on the road and sometimes phrases permit test questions in the way that may confuse you. Practice permit tests will help you learn this terminology and wording used at the DMV.

Another reason for you to take the Oregon practice permit test is the fact that practice tests help you evaluate your level of preparation before you go in for the actual Oregon permit test. You might have completed an Oregon driver's education course, read a guide to Oregon drivers license and think you know all the rules and regulations, however, there is no way of knowing that you are right unless you actually test yourself. Doing well on the Oregon DMV practice test will also strike some confidence into you and reduce the amount of stress you will experience at the office.

Considering what's stated above and taking into account that practice tests are free, the question of why should you take Oregon practice permit tests before you go in for the real thing turns into why shouldn't you take them?

How Close Is The Oregon Practice Permit Test to The Permit Test at The DMV?

The practice permit test Oregon sample quiz that is offered here is very close to the permit test offered at the DMV, however, they are not identical. Quite a few people ask why don't we just feature the same test as you get the the Oregon DMV. There is a very simple reason for this: we believe that it actually does more bad than good. Given the opportunity, most people are trying to memorize the answers to those Oregon permit test questions instead of learning the rules of the road and that defies the whole purpose of the test. The Oregon drivers permit practice test covers the same topics, which means that when you go in to be tested for the Oregon drivers permit, you will be prepared no matter what questions you get on the test.

Hi buddy! Great to hear that you did so well on your learners permit test the first time you took it, but there's really no need to put anyone down. Some people just need a bit more time to prepare for the exam, but they do just as well eventually. Good luck on the road!

some of you people are plain stupid because i haven`t read the book yet on these practice quizzes i get a 100% and on the real permit test without reading the book i only missed one because it is all common sense.

Hi Mark! Please read the handbook before you take the real permit test, even if you did great on this Oregon practice permit test. The real test may be a little harder than these sample questions, plus it will also include questions on road signs, not just road rules. The book does offer a great overview of everything you will be tested on during the real Oregon permit test, make sure to check it out!

I haven't read it and passed

Hi Ashlee! I am really glad you are doing so well with this Oregon permit practice test, but I really think you should read the manual before you go down to the DMV to take your learners permit test. Remember, the test will have questions that are not covered by this practice exam and you don't want to miss any of them. Otherwise, your score is great, keep studying and good luck on your drivers permit test!

I never read the book and I scored between 85-100% on every one of these that I have taken (about 20 times). It really is all common sense; Things you should already know from watching your parents drive. I'm taking my permit test next week.

Hi Gabriel! It's really hard to single out specific things you need to concentrate on during the Oregon permit test, since it covers all road signs, road rules and safe driving practices. I would definitely read the drivers handbook every day, up until the day when you take the test and kept taking this Oregon permit practice test to make sure those rules really stick. Check out the section of the drivers handbook on speed limits, alcohol blood levels, etc, since we don't have any questions like that in the practice test yet. Good luck!

Im going to take my test this friday, what are some things i need to take note of? I'm not a very good test taker, but sometimes i am.

Hi Ashley! Sorry to disappoint you, but 11/20 is not that good, especially if you are planning to take your Oregon permit test in near future. Quite a few of the questions on this Oregon permit practice test are common sense and you should not have any trouble answering about 3/4 of those questions, while getting a higher score may require you to read the drivers manual. If you have not started studying for the test, now is the time to do so. Grab a copy of the handbook and read it every day for 15-20 minutes before you to to bed. Do that for couple of weeks and you will see a dramatic improvement in your permit test score. Good luck!

I've never read the book and got 11/20 xD Pretty good.

Hey Asia. It's probably the stress of having to take the test at the drivers license office, when compared to taking it at home in front of the computer. Plus, if I was you, I would aim for the score of 90% and more on the Oregon practice permit test, the real permit test will be a bit harder. You are also right about the DMV trying to get you to think as if you were actually behind the wheel while doing the test. Quite a few of those questions mimic real life situations and you need to know how to apply the rules of the road, not just learn the words themselves.

I have read the book like 2 or 3 times, failed the actual permit test and then I always pass the practice quizzes....WHY? I know that is a good thing but why can I not pass the actual thing at 95% like I do on most of my practice ones!? URRGGHHH It makes me crazy mad and sad! :(

They ask odd questions to get you thinking for when you are driving. The concept is to just think more than the average human!

I failed my first permit test at DMV, but I made it to number 31 and failing my eighth number at number 32! I hated that I failed my permit test and it has almost been a year since and since then and before I have always passed by 80% or over on my practice quizes. I don't know how or why?! :(But it is odd... :)

i got 100% on my first try. and i haven`t read the book.

Hey Kenia. Some of these Oregon practice permit test questions did come from the actual permit test as they were submitted to us by users, while others are simply based on the information you can find in the drivers handbook.

Are these the actual questions for the permit test?

Hello Jessica and thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. You are correct, the speed limit for school zones is 20mph, not 25, it was a typo. I already corrected the answers in the test. If you ever find an error in this Oregon practice permit test or are not sure which answer is correct, just give us a buzz and we'll be happy to look into it. Thanks again for being attentive and good luck at the DMV!

I took the real test 3 times, failed each time. Haven't studied in I don't even know how long, and decided to take a practice and scored a 95%. ~Also I thought the school speed limit when it is flashing and there are kids around is 20 mph, not 25 mph. I even got up and grabbed my book to make sure, and it says 20 mph not 25 mph. Why and when did this change? Or is it just a mistake?

that's what I thought too.

Not bad, especially if you are taking this Oregon practice permit test for the first time, most people get a score of around 60 (that's 12/20) and then build it up to a higher score. This is a good start, keep studying and I am sure you will do just fine on your real DMV exam. When are you taking that one, by the way?

read the book once and got a 15/20
