Hi there, Mary. I understand your concerns about security, however what you were taught at the drivers ed class does not coincide with what the state requires you to do. We based this practice permit test MN quiz on the official drivers handbook, and the handbook states that you must provide your name, address, date of birth and registration number of your vehicle to other drivers involved in the crash and to any law enforcement officer at the scene. Page 37, please check it out!

" IF YOU HAVE AN ACCIDENT, YOU MUST EXCHANGE YOUR DRIVER'S LICENSE INFORMATION AND ___________ WITH THE OTHER PERSONS INVOLVED. A. proof of insurance only B. proof of insurance and vehicle registration only C. proof of insurance, vehicle registration, and current address " This website's test said the correct answer is C. but in my driver's ed. class I was taught not to give your address because it is a possible risk to your safety; giving out your home address to a stranger. I was told that in terms of personal contact information to only give your phone number. Besides that, I wasn't sure between A. and B., so I took a guess and answered B. So I would get this wrong on the actual Permit test?

Guys, let me assure you that neither of you two "suck" :) Don't expect to get a high score on this Minnesota practice permit test right away, it takes some time before you learn all of the rules and road signs. I highly recommend that you pick up the DMV study guide and go over it couple of times before taking more practice sample questions, it does help you build a clearer picture in your head. Try understanding the rules and why they were introduced instead of simply memorizing them, it does go a long way. I know that some rules must be memorized (such as the legal blood-alcohol level), but then for most of them, understanding the rule will allow you to answer any questions you may get on your real Minnesota permit test.

Me too
