Why Should I Take This Kentucky Practice Permit Test?

The first reason why someone would take a Kentucky practice permit test is because taking a practice permit test helps you familiarize yourself with the terminology used on the real DMV test. The DMV only wants those who know the traffic rules inside out to be on the road and sometimes phrases permit test questions in the way that may confuse you. Practice permit tests will help you learn this terminology and wording used at the DMV.

Another reason for you to take the practice permit test KY is the fact that practice tests help you evaluate your level of preparation before you go in for the actual Kentucky permit test. You might have completed a Kentucky drivers education course, read a guide to Kentucky drivers license and think you know all the rules and regulations, however, there is no way of knowing that you are right unless you actually test yourself. Doing well on the Kentucky DMV practice test will also strike some confidence into you and reduce the amount of stress you will experience at the office.

Considering everything stated above and taking into account that practice tests are free, the question of why should you take Kentucky practice permit tests before you go in for the real thing turns into why shouldn't you take them?

Individual Kentucky Practice Permit Test Questions

One thing you really need to learn to be able to pass your Kentucky permit test the first time you take it is to reason your way through permit test questions. This is an important skill you need to learn, to analyze every KY permit test question, really dig into those answers. If you do this, you can usually drop at least half of the answers that are incorrect even if you don't know the right answer off the top of your head and then you only have to choose between two answers, giving you a better chance to answer the question correctly. Of course, this does not eliminate the need to study and to learn Kentucky road signs and traffic rules, but you can usually wing a question or two this way. Please your answer to the question "THE SPEED LIMIT WHEN PASSING A SCHOOL WHILE CHILDREN ARE PRESENT (UNLESS POSTED OTHERWISE) IS:" thus 20 mph does not seem to agree with the 15 mph stated in the manual. Please can you provide some clarification

Hi Kyle! While there are many different apps and study aids available out there, the drivers handbook, a notebook and a pen is really all you need to pass your Kentucky permit test. Try the following. Grab a copy of the handbook, read it all the way through. Make sure to take notes, especially when you come upon specific laws, for example, following distances, blood alcohol levels, seat belt laws, speed limits. Once done with the book, take this Kentucky practice permit test. It's all right to use the notes at first, they will help you along. Ideally, you should be able to answer every question with your notes at hand. If you find that you do not know the answer to a question and your notes do not cover the topics, pick up that book again, find the answer and update your notes. Keep working through the handbook this way and you will see how your score will improve dramatically.

Hi there, buddy :) I assume you mean DMV offices, since this Kentucky permit practice test is available to you 24*7. Unfortunately, I don't know the exact times, but most offices would only operate Monday through Friday, with some of them also being open on Saturday. It is best to call them directly, 502-564-2737

okay so, I bought this iPhone app that was $2.99 which covered a bunch of driving laws and signs for the state of KY only. It's a 161 question test and the signs part is a 120 question test. I usually score no less than a 95% on it. and I also take this practice test at the DMV site and I usually score a 13 out of 15 or so on it. I hadn't taken it in a while since I had gotten the app and then I went back online and took that test and I got a 15 out of 15 easy.. but then I come across this site and take the practice test and I can't seem to do any better then a 75% or so which is making me really worried about the actual test. what can be done to help me better understand the questions and be sure to pass the permit test my first try?

what days are the offices open and what days?

Hi Max! This Kentucky practice permit test covers the same topics as the real state exam, however the composition is different. As you have already noticed, this sample quiz has only 20 questions, while the real permit test in KY has two parts: road rules - 30 questions, road signs - 10 questions. We are still working on developing road signs questions and hope to have a real example of the permit test out soon.

Is this similar to the permit test?

thanks so much.......

Hey Via. I assume you are asking whether this test is similar to the real KY permit test? If this is correct, then the answer is yes, it is similar. However, you should keep in mind that questions from this Kentucky permit practice test are not identical to the ones on the real exam. We made this practice test so you could learn the rules of the road, not simply memorize couple of permit test answers. Hope this helps!

Is this practice test are familiar of the actual test?

im screw dang it ! i have re-read the manual and i still failed it, and now i have to take the oral test Tuesday hope i'll pass, like can you help study on which section on the manual will be on the test?

Sorry, buddy, I have never taken an oral permit test, so I am not clear on the details of how it will go, I just have general information about it. I am sure the examiner will be nice enough to help you with some Kentucky permit test questions, but he/she will not answer them for you. Please contact the drivers license office where you will be taking the test, they should be able to give you more details about the whole ordeal. Good luck!

is there a time limited, and do you have to take it on a computer again, or you go to a private room and do it on a piece of paper? and does the examiner gives you any extra help?

Once again: the point of the oral test is not to give you easier questions, the DMV will not issue you with a license unless you know the rules. The point of the oral chance is to give you a chance to explain your answer to the examiner. For example, you may get a question on your Kentucky permit test that has two similar answers. If you are doing the computerized test, you may have hard time selecting the correct answer. If you are doing the oral test, you may actually argue your point and explain to the examiner why you think one answer is better than the other.

whats the differences from taking the computerized test and oral test if were just doing the same questions, from what i heard is that its easier than computerized, well how do you know its gonna be the same questions?

It will cover the same questions as the computerized test that you took, there is really not much difference. The reason why you are being given this oral test is just to allow you the chance to show the examiner that you really know the rules, but are having troubles with the wording that is used on the Kentucky permit test. You still have to read the drivers manual and study practice tests like you did before, not much difference there.

i cant understand what u are telling me but o well, another question what is the oral exam is gonna be on so i know what to study?

Hey Michael. Unfortunately, there is no easy answer here and I can't really tell you if the oral exam will be easier than the computerized test. It really depends on why you failed the KY permit test in the first place. If you were misunderstanding some questions, then the oral exam will be easier since the examiner will be able to understand whether it's you misunderstanding the way the question is phrased or you simply not knowing the right answer. If you don't know the rules, the examiner will see that and will fail you. I hope everything will be all right and you will pass your permit test on Tuesday. By the way, you wouldn't have copies of that test that you took at the DMV, would you? We would love to add more questions to this practice permit test KY sample quiz, so if you have a print out with some questions, please go ahead and e-mail it to us. Thank you!

is the Oral test easier than the computerized test? i have failed the permit 3 times and taking oral test on tuesday, tell if its easier or not?

You won't be in trouble if you actually spend time studying! Make sure to read the Kentucky driver's manual, it's a wealth of information when it comes to learning the traffic rules and road signs. Let us know how you did on your Kentucky permit test!

Hey there, buddy! Have you tried flashcards? They work great for some people, I used them quite a bit back when I was studying. Just make paper squares, write out all of the questions on one side and then answers to those questions on the other side. Post them all over your room so they are in front of your eyes all the time. Any time you look at one of the cards and feel like you can't answer the question, just pick it up and check the answer at the back. Do this for couple of weeks and you will see that your score on this practice permit test KY sample quiz will improve dramatically. Good luck!

wow I scored a 60%, my test is tomorrow!! I might be in trouble!!

Hey Tori, 75% is not too bad and I am sure that if you keep on taking this Kentucky permit practice test, your score will improve. That's what it's here for - to help you learn. Good luck on your Kentucky permit test!
