Study Finds Grandma’s Driving Isn’t Getting Any Better
Many people question whether the elderly should keep their drivers license, but they didn’t always have the research to back up their doubts. Now they do, thanks to a study conducted at a Hospital in Rhode Island. Their research has demonstrated that driving skills get worse as individuals get older. Everyone can expect some decline, but those with dementia and other disorders will see even more dramatic differences.

Judging The Effectiveness of Indiana Drivers Education Classes
News, Drivers Education, Graduated License,
A recent report presented by the Indiana BMV leads to the conclusion that teenagers who take an Indiana drivers education class are much more likely to be involved in a traffic accident than those who don't. Does this mean that the Indiana drivers ed is not effective and teens would be better off not taking the class or is there something else we miss? Is driver's ed the only thing to blame or should the whole Indiana graduated drivers license system be revised?

Problems with TDTSEA Texas Parent Taught Drivers Ed Course 106 Delivery
According to the statement provided on the TDTSEA main page, students who ordered their Texas parent taught drivers education course #106 after August 5, 2010, will experience a delay in package delivery. The delay is caused by an overload of the printing shop that was producing the course materials for TDTSEA. Parent taught course materials will not be sent out until at least September 1st. If you are in the rush to start your Texas drivers education course, you may want to choose an online course or order a book package from a different provider.

Possible Additions to Pennsylvania Graduated License Rules and Permit Restrictions
Although the state is moving in the right direction with its graduated drivers license system, there are still many improvements that could be made easily and could result in saving a large number of teenage drivers. Such improvements could include introducing a limit to the number of passengers that can be present in the vehicle operated by a teenage driver, restricting the usage of cell phones while driving and providing the Highway Patrol with the ability to control and enforce the seat belt restrictions.
