Ohio Driving Test

Taking the 2013 Ohio drivers license test is the final step of the way to achieving an Ohio drivers license. The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles wants to make sure that you have good control over your vehicle before letting you lose on the state roads and that is why you have to take an Ohio driving test. Passing the road skills exam is not hard, especially if you follow BMV recommendations and receive as much driving practice as possible before scheduling your Ohio BMV driving test. At the moment, teenagers are required to complete at least 50 hours of driving before they can make an appointment for their drivers license test, but this is just the minimum, no one says you can't do more than that. Adult drivers should follow the same recommendation. Remember: the more you practice now, the easier it will be for you to pass your 2013 Ohio driving test at the BMV.

Ohio Drivers License Restrictions

In certain cases, the BMV may limit your driving privileges to operating a vehicle only when certain conditions are met. In such cases, a restriction is placed onto your drivers license. Some of the Ohio drivers license restrictions are health dependent while other may reflect the driver's driving skill. There is also a separate group of Ohio junior license restrictions that apply to everyone who receives a drivers license before reaching the age of 18 years. If you need assistance with Ohio drivers license restriction codes, you may always contact the BMV for assistance.

Ohio Drivers License Endorsements

In most situations, drivers license endorsements are used for granting you additional driving privileges without having you to apply for a different type of drivers license. Most of the Ohio driver's license endorsements apply to commercial drivers licenses and thus won't be useful to those who currently hold a regular class C license. However, there are exceptions to this trend, such as a motorcycle endorsement. A motorcycle endorsement can be added to any regular drivers license.

Apply for Ohio Learners Permit

Those who have never held a drivers license issued by a different state and would like to obtain a license in Ohio will have to start by applying for an Ohio Temporary Instruction Permit Identification Card (TIPIC). Possession of an Ohio drivers permit gives you a chance to practice driving before you take a driving skills test with a Highway Patrol examiner. Requirements for applying for an Ohio learners permit are age dependent, since teenagers must go through the state graduated license program. Although the minimum age when you can apply for an Ohio temporary license is 15 years, 6 months, you can start preparing for your temporary permit test much earlier.
