Washington Graduated License Program - WA Graduated Drivers License Requirements

Although Washington does not have an official graduated license program, the licensing procedure for teenage license applicants is governed by laws that are very similar to the graduated drivers license laws of other states. According to the graduated drivers license requirements, applicants under the age of 18 cannot be issued with a full drivers license, instead they are provided with a learners permit and consequently with an intermediate drivers license. The graduated license laws set the minimum age for a full drivers license to 18.

Concerns Over Teen License Plate Decals in New Jersey

According to the new law that goes into effect on July 01, 2010, all New Jersey drivers who are under 21 years of age must display red decals on the vehicle's license plates. The measure should make it easier for highway patrol and other drivers to identify teenage drivers and thus increase on road safety. Parents have concerns that red decals will also make it easier for stalkers to identify teenage drivers and thus put them in extra danger.

New Jersey Learners Permit Restrictions - NJ Driving Permit Rules

Your first step towards achieving a drivers license in New Jersey is applying for a learners permit. The reason behind the New Jersey permit restrictions is the fact that inexperienced drivers are highly likely to be involved in a traffic accident and permit restrictions are called upon to defuse most of the potentially dangerous situations.

New Hampshire Permit Test

One of the biggest differences between the licensing procedure in New Hampshire and other states is that New Hampshire is probably the only place in the country that allows you to get behind the wheel and start driving without taking a learners permit test first. In fact, there is no such thing as a drivers permit in New Hampshire and teenagers can start driving with parents as soon as they are of the legal age. This is highly unusual as there is simply nothing that could explain why the state would allow people behind the wheel without making sure that they at least know the state traffic rules and driving laws. In New Hampshire, the 2013 written DMV test is taken prior to applying for a drivers license, along with a regular drivers test.

In May, US senators discussed some changes to the current licensing procedure for teenage drivers. One of the main points was raising the unrestricted driving age to 18.
